4th Quarter 2014 Message

January 1, 2015
Dear Member:

We hope you had an enjoyable Christmas season with family and friends and we would like to wish all of you a Healthy and Prosperous NEW YEAR!

As I mentioned in my last quarterly letter, we were going to be losing one of our long time employees, Laurie Lindsay.  That departure has now happened with her family’s move to Florida as Laurie’s husband took a new job near Ft. Myers a few months ago.  We would like to say thanks once again for all of her hard work in helping our credit union run as well as it does.  Best wishes.

The board agreed with the staffing recommendation to replace the vacated position through a combination of increased hours for some existing personnel and about 60 hours per month for a new hire.  If you or someone you know has an interest and is qualified to work in the credit union 3 hours per day, please call 715/737-2467; our staff will be willing to answer any questions you may have about the position.  Current Xcel Energy employees need supervisor’s approval and must be available from Noon-1:00 pm daily.  If you want to apply for the position, please forward your resume to myucu@att.net.
We had another great lending year which will end up being one of our three best ever.  Thank you.  Rates are still excellent so don’t be bashful in asking us for financing help with your latest purchases.  You can check our rates at myucu.org, email us at myucu@att.net, call us at 715/737-2467 or stop in during our 12:00-1:00 pm walk-in hours.

Remember to set up your payroll deduction today.  It is an easy and painless way to build up a nest egg for the future.  We have been seeing investment rates a little higher and that may mean higher savings rates down the road.  We will keep you in the loop.

Watch for our UCU Annual Meeting coming up Thursday, February 26, 2015.  The meeting is held in the Bays 1 & 2 at our Sky Park facility starting at 5:00 pm.  Join us for a short business meeting, pizza and refreshments as well as door prizes.  You are welcome to attend if you are a member in good standing.

Sincerely,

Scott J. Seaholm
UCU Board Chairman
